cam question????????

how can you tell if you have an even fire or odd fire motor? what is the difference? i need to know for when i order my cam

I think all of the later engines 84-87 were even fired, the ones in 78-79 were odd. just check the number stamped on the block-6109 s are even fired- the later engines also had better flowing heads.
