Does Anybody Know what the Cam spring Height diameter is on M&A Heads?

Do you mean just the height or just the diameter or both I don't know. I would imagine it depends on your cam. In other words you may have to run X spring to match your cam. Most of the time (unless you got a monster!) a normal 979-981 Comp Cam spring will do the job. If I recall the O.D. is 1.225" or so. If you need a bigger spring in diameter to meet your goals you may have to get the head cut to accept them but I would shop around so this isn't needed. As for height that is also cam related. You need a set amount of closed seat pressure and open pressure. To get both, some of the time the spring will need shimmed. Then all you have to worry about is having enough gap between coils at full lift with some Murphy built in so the coils don't stack (coil-bind). Least this is my opinion. What does your cam card say? What are the specs on it? My 206 roller is .532" and takes a 110 lb. seat pressure closed.

I just ordered a 224/224 precision billet roller cam. I told them I needed the springs that match the cam. Dan the machine shop dude said he needs the spring height diameter to get me the right ones. My 220/220 roller cam won't work so I bought a 224/224 roller and this is where I'm stuck at

Intercooler, is 110 closed enough for your roller? It's a hydraulic roller, right? With the heavier roller lifters, I would think that is on the light side and the lifter may lift off the lobe at high RPM. Anyone have extensive experience with rollers? I'm trying to finish my project before spring. Where's Lonnie?

I try to follow any manuf. specs until they prove wrong. This is what the Ruggles cam card said that was with the cam. If it isn't right I will have to adjust it later. Until it is running though I don't know how I could gauge what would or wouldn't work as far as spring pressure. Maybe some of the other roller cam guys can chime in here.
