cam/turbo combo

the pt70 i'm running is too big for the street the cam i bougt was purchased to match that turbo. is it possible to run a smaller turbo with this cam? 218/222 flat tappet. thanks

not sure what you mean about the turbo being to big for the street...i have that same turbo and mine is perfect on the street...you need some sticky tires but i love mine. i am going bigger when my short block is ready. to answer your question i don't see it causing any problems........Bob

it just seems like it takes forever to spool up.

you need to contact Dusty Bradford at PTC torque converters. i can foot brake or use the trans brake and the turbo spools up fast...he has the 70 down pat.....Bob

Check spool up AFR with a wideband. I run a 76GTQ with a 0 pump Vigilante that stalls around 3000. You can lean it out under low load, low boost. 12.5 to 13.0 during spool up, 11.2 to 11.3 under full boost.
