Camaro Gearbox On A Gn?

Do a search on this topic. Most agree that a Turbo Regal + a manual tranny = Slow Turbo Regal:(

have you had your trans rebuilt?

if I were you, I would ship it to dynotech and have Eric Schertz rebuild it

he did mine and its a work of art
also keep in mind he has a 200R4 in his car as well and his traps in the mid 140s (full weight), and dynoed 708hp and 780tq to the wheels
thats with his smaller turbo too
I bet he can rebuild a trans to your specs

i realize, but i cant seem to keep a trans together

You mean you're right out there, (in la-la land) within driving distance of one of the sharpest TH200R4 builders and you can't get your trans to be bulletproof? :p

To convert to a six speed would most likely cost you well over $2000 by the time you go done buying the pedals, linkage, gear box, flywheel, clutch, drive shaft and cross member mods.
Under your name it says you are from Sacramento. You have Bruce Toelle of PTS right there in the same city and he is probably one of the most innovative and best 2004r builders in the country. Here is the website WWW.PTSXTREME.COM
Call them and get your trans done correctly.

ive got a pts trans in it now and its doing great. just wondering how plausible a 6 speed would be.

Are you still having trouble keeping the PTS trans together?
The 6 speed swap is do-able. Plausible? Well, thats up to you.
I know many guys who have broken their T56's and know 1 guy that broke his Richmond 6 speed, so it isnt like you will be gaining durability. It also can end up costing more than a race prepped 2004r from PTS with every trick part Bruce offers.
If that is ok with you, then I would say go for it.

You are touching on a very sensitive subject around here, and like Lee said: It ain’t a no-brainer puttin’ a stick in a Turbo Regal. *in my best Jersey acent*

There are A LOT of variables that you are going to have to sort out for yourself that can’t be handled by any of the resident chip burners. It isn’t going to be a pretty project, and I already have half the parts to do it.

The downtime will piss you off the most. Try and think outside of the pages of Popular Hot Rodding. Mmmkay.?

canadian?? WTF does that have to do anbout a a hopless project??....if u want a stick buy an F body!!.....if you want a FAST relaible car stay with the auto in the TR. i hate these canadian jokes:mad:

im sorry if i offened anyone. i thought everything was in fun on this board. i meant no harm in my canadian reference. my parents in law just got back from canada on sunday.

i have a pts trans. it works awesome. its rips the tires in the 2-3 shift and might even do it shifting into overdrive if i tried. bruce's trans is most likely the best performance/drive quality mod ive made to my car.

i cant believe all this has erupted. im over it. i think ill stop posting for awhile and sit back. the internet is getting old quickly. i think ill sick to looking up porn at work.

if they can't take a joke.......f'em....you know?some people get way to intense on this board at times..lighten up,you'll live longer..and that's comin' from a mostly i-talian part polish kid from bahstin......be careful not to get caught(lookin at porn at work)lol......take it easy and enjoy your pts trans, very nice piece...joel:D
