can a washer, and coolant tank be cleaned?

Is there a way to get these two tanks to look like new again, or do you have to just replace them?

these cars are 20 years old. While the coolant overflow and windshield washer reservoir is still available grab them. I don't think they cost much.
 
They are cheap to get new. If they are not yellow, you can soak them in a good degreaser and hot water. The coolant bottle gets funky on the inside, and is hard to clean.

I degreased mine...and.....
Like Forcefed says.. I scrubbed them in and out then trimmed the jagged edges left along seams when they were shot in the mould. I added a second long bath in hot water and bleach. The came out kinda very light tan...not bad. I cleaned the caps - repainted the lettering - flushed the systems - added clean bright and fresh fluids and hey they looked fine. If you got a show car replace'em or for the special show just replace for that. Otherwise they will start the yellowing process all over again. My 2 cents.
