Can i run Alky injection w/o chip???

Can i run my alky kit without having a chip made for it? or do i have to get the chip specially made to run it? thanks!

Methanol is an additional fuel, you'd be running rich without a chip to compensate for it. The chip will also take advantage of more aggressive timing.

For less than $100 why not get it...

I never put an Alky chip in mine and it runs fine, but I do have an adjustable Turbo Tweek chip.

well i have a TT chip not adjustable i suppose. is there anyway to "hand" tune the car for use with the meth? like take some fuel out?? Also what kind of plugs are you guys running with the meth? i have ACDelco R43TS.

His chips were all adjustable from what i read go to the TT websight and download the instructions im running alky without an alky chip too

This is the very first mod you do on the car. PERIOD. Without data.. you'll blow it up quickly.. as it doesnt take much to pop it.

Yes like Razor stated first mod that should be done and yes you need a ScanMaster at least to adjust the parameters in the chip

yea ive been told this many of times. i guess ive just had the best of luck. im running 22+/- psi on pump gas with stock pump. been running the car almost every other weekend at the track and been driving it to work daily. talk about a reliable car right??

With a scan tool you will be able to properly tune your car and maybe pick up a few tenths !!!

And id be willing to bet your getting knock and slowly tearing it up.

Make no adjustments, buy a scanmaster, hook it up and trounce on it like you been doing and take note of the retard degrees once you hit third.

Once you get your scanmaster you make make your TT adjustments.

Same here, I actually have a 93 street chip from Turbo Tweak. When I added the alky I had to dial back the fuel a bit because I was running rich in the top end, to the point of where the engine would lay down. I also bumped up the timing a few degrees. To do this required the use of a Scanmaster....I see you mention you said you didn't have one...do yourself a favor MAKE THAT YOUR NEXT PURCHASE TOMORROW!
