Here is a complete set of the Canadian light weight bumper braces. You can bolt all 3 pieces right on or just the two black ones. The long one has been sandblasted but I didn't get around to painting it. Both small ones have been blasted and resprayed gloss black. I have just the two small ones on my car and have for at least 10-12 years. Many, many street miles and lots of 1/4 miles passes and NO issues what so ever. So if you want light, here it is.
$75 for both small ones and $50 for the long one. Plus shipping and 3% if paypaling. Thanks Mike

Believe it or not I have never seen these on any Canadian cars here in the great white north. We get the the standard bumper reinforcements(either aluminum or steel) and bumper shocks front and rear

Byron, These came on NA cars mainly and some hot air cars but was a recall item. I bought mine new from Zack at Ron Klien Buick back east years ago and he told me the story of why they were called that but it's been TOOO long and I can't remember all of it. I do remember I only paid like $12 apiece for them way back then.

Alot of people don't even no what they are. I have two fronts. I wouldn't mind trading one for a rear or just selling them

I'm pretty sure they were only used on 1984 model year vehicles in the US. They took advantage of a one year change in bumper regulations before the gov. said they weren't good enough. They may have used the excess parts on the export models before phasing in the regular steel and AL ones we all know and love. The ones I had came off an 84. Eric Fisher and others had a pretty good thread about it a few years back.
