Hey when I had my old stock turbo on the car, my Electronic Boost Controller was working(holding boost). Now since I installed this new turbo my EBC wont hold any boost.. Does anyone know why? This is very frustrating, because I now cant get on it, cause it jumps up to, to high of boost and cant keep it under controll. Also when we switched the turbo thats all we messed with. We didnt touch any electrical or anything. And we installed the vacum lines back in the right connection when we put the new turbo on... If anyone can give me a suggestion on were to start looking to see why its not holding boost that would be very helpful.
If not then ohhh Well..
Thanks
chris

????????????

W/G puck and hole in the exh housing are not matched. You have overshoot on the boost because the W/G can't keep up w/ the added exh gas flow....

check to see if the swing arm is having binding issues or if its hitting somthing while on the way to fully opening.

Alright and thanks.. I will check that out in the morning to see if thats whats causeing it.. Also how do you fix that on the W/G or what will I need to do to make it right..

Thanks
chris

W/G fix

To check for bind, take the actuator loose, and move the arm to be sure it's free. If not, correct this problem first.
Since the car has been driven w/ the new turbo on it, there will likely be a mark around the hole in the exh housing from contact by the puck. [Assuming it's working OK]

You have to take the DP off of the turbo and look. If you can't see the mark, put a lite coat of grease on the puck, re-install the DP, and close the puck against the hsg. This will leave the mark you need to work with.

Then unbolt the DP, remove the turbo, and seperate the exh hsg from the assy.
You need to port the housing to within 1/16" to 3/32" of the OD of the mark. Be sure to smooth the radius inside the hsg.
NOTE: the outline of the grease may or may not be centered on the exsisting hole... Not a problem. Just port the hole where the outline tells you to.
Clean everything up, and re-install.
