Just had my turbo rebuilt and reinstalled.

Now, I am used to running 25-26 lbs of boost on the street, but could drop it to 20lbs or less if I wanted to. (Who wants to, LOL!)

Anyway, with the HD actuator on an barely holding the puck shut, I was pegging 30lbs boost instantly. Thought it might be the solenoid so I eliminated it and ran it tuner style. Still up to 30 lbs.

I pulled the HD actuator off and put my known good stock style actuator on, barely closing the puck. Shot to about 26 instantly and slowly climbing thru third.

If I'm not mistaken, stock actuator, tuner style should have given me a baseline of not more that 15 lbs. i might be getting a bit of creep, but no way should be just hitting 26 lbs like that, right?

Ideas?

God bless alky.....

It sounds to me like you have a leak in one of those hoses somewhere. Replace them. The solenoid and actuator were also good bets but you've already tried that. Also check to make sure the puck moves freely and doesn't bind.

Undo your WG rod so that it easily slips over the DP peg, see what happens and report back here.

JASTRCKL, I did try using new hose, no leaks. But I will examine the puck assy. and try to determine if it could be hanging. That's possible.
Jimn8or, any looser and the puck is going to be rattling, I believe. but I'll go back at it.

Aparently not adequately:p

Already been talking to a buddy down here about yanking it off and hogging it out larger this weekend.

Even so, while I can see that causing some creep it's hard to believe that I can't get the boost down any more than it is. I see guys complaining about boost spikes, and overboosting to 18 or 21lbs, but pegging a 30 lbs gauge!!?? Whew.

That puck has got to be binding....(hope)
