i've been putting it off and putting it off and as much as i don't want to i think i should spend some money on a car alarm. right now i have a passive thing that without a key type thing you can't start the car. its a little black box on my keychain that has to be passes under a sensor to start the car, and anyone who can get around that probably deserves to have a car, just not mine(its very well hidden and wired in very discretely)! I was looking at lojack and holly crap are they expensive! My uncle is a cop and says there the best things ever made, every cop car has a thing to find the cars and i guess they work really good, but only once the car is stold. and from what i understand you have to notice your car is gone, call the cops and THEN they will start looking for the car. By that time there might not be much of a car left. another thing i found on ebay is direct track, pretty much the same thing only more for the yuppy people. it has an alarm that goes off when you go to fast (thats enough to make me not want it) but you can start you car remotely from the internet, unlock doors etc. and you can track your own car, but that doesn't do me much good. I'm not sure if i want a noisy siren thing like everyone else has, they go off all the time and no one cares anymore so its just as good as nothing. any ideas? I was thinking about a 12 gauge shotgun with a slug, but i don't want to get the car all bloody...

I have a Code alarm and a pass key thing and a switch on my fuel pump. If I could I would get Lojack but they don't have it here in Ohio yet. They will call you within 30 minutes if your car moves without you deactivating it, to see if it is you driving it. I think it is a very good system, I even called Lojack about selling it in Ohio, but they have to install towers which help in locating your car. Get the Lojack, they will find your car before someone can strip it and leave you SOL. Some of these other systems have a monthly fee because they have to pay a GPS fee to locate your car.

i think i'll probably get a decent alarm then get the lojack, i don't think the lojack has an alarm on it, i'd rather scare someone away than have them bust open the steering coloum. and i've been gonig to put a swtich on the fuel pump for a while now, so whenever i get the time to do it I will
