On a positive note

I got to thinking (a very dangerous thing)....this may not be such a bad thing after all....

Hordes of ricers will buy the magazine. Meanwhile, the TR remains relatively obscure and retains its mystique due to lack of coverage. Ricers will think now that they are educated on "Boost" that they can outrun a big old 80's Buick. Then when they get stomped by TR's, the hate mail will flow to C&D asking why they didn't warn them about Turbo Monte Carlos! We win in the end, on various levels! Muahaahaahaa!!

Damn, I would have loved to see the TV show, I needed a good laugh.

If anyone can acquire of an e-mail addy, please post it here. We could get as many people as possible to e-mail C&D thanking them for misleading the youth of today, and doing us a favor by creating fresh victims.

As far as I'm concerned the less outsiders know about us the better. Let's face it no big vendors are going to do squat for TBs anymore, only the vendors of this community so we should take care of our own.

it sucks that they said no buicks in one hand, but in the other i think its great.

i'd like more people to know that when i say i have a buick that i'm not just some moron with a grandma car that i think is fast. although nearly buicks, turbo or not are faster than most of these ricers out there.

but more than that i like beating someone with my grandma car. when they think they have something it makes it just that much better. i say lets let these kids have their heads filled with garbage, make them think their hondas are fast.

but it does make sence. if more peopel ould rather look at a magazine filled with expensive slow cars then let them i guess.
its about money, if you were making a magazine with the goal of making money, would you really care what goes in it if it makes you money and doesnt' get you in trouble? Lets face it, a lot of kids don't like the looks of our cars, and they care aboutl ooks more than performance so their minds won't be changed.

what a joke, our buicks out of reach to the average joe?! make a import run 12s and see who goes broke. they are as usuall going where the money is to sell rags. stupid,loud annoying imports. thank god they dont allow them in our local cruise nights!

Yeah, that no Buicks jab was definately at us turbo Regal guys. I can understand their logic though, I mean if you had sunk 10k in your Celica to get in the 13's, would you really want to read about a 17+ year old Buick that will suck the grille out of your car as it blows by you???

yeah we should lay low... i get a sinical smirk whenever a ricer or plain import driver revs at me... i tend to give them a second headstart at the stop light challanges...then it's ALL OVER !! :-D

...and I've only been a TR owner for a week I'M HOOKED!!
