So it started the yesterday when car just shut off on a side street while I was cruising about 20mph. I thought it was the extra load from the AC. So I turned AC off, started the car & kept going. It was kinda hesitating/sputtering to move. I had to immediately park car to be back in time for work on time. After work, the car seemed to drive ok. No major symptoms. Then this morning, I was on freeway & it really started sputtering at about 60mph. I pulled over & the car really had a hard to going any where. Pressed the gas pedal & nothing. I originally thought maybe IACV, but after today I started to think it was the MAF. I am still running the stock MAF. So I phoned a friend & he asked me to monitor the AF on my Scan Master, Sure enough those numbers we're jumping all over the place. However, I still had to get home. Long story short, I finally made it but it was a struggle. I got so irritated when I got home, I jus parked the car and went inside house.

Does that also sound like a bad MAF to you guys? I do have LT1 & MAF Translator in a box that I will now have to put in now. How has your experience been with his set up if you have used it? Thanks in advance everyone!

Just put the LT1 and translator on there and go from there. After 1/4 of a century stock MAFs just can't be trusted.

Yes! That makes sense Earl. It was running fine so I decided not to change it over. But now I will, especially after the past couple days. Hopefully it runs better than it ever has.

Hooked up the MAF & translator. Car is runnin a lot better. I have the MAF setting on "3" & the WOT setting at "0". Seems to be running good.

Any advice on where WOT should be? I'd be fine with leaving it alone as well. I have a TT 5.7 chip as well.

Leave it at 0 and do the tuning in the 5.7 TT chip on WOT .
