Just put a PAC kit on my car and it seems to work great. I hooked up direct scan and went for a pass. At WOT and the top of EACH gear around 4900 RPM the car starts missing very badly and seems to hold in that gear to long. When it finally shifts the car picks back up and goes again until the top of the next gear.
This was with around 20# of boost.

Today I backed the boost down to 17# and turned the alky off. No problems. Then I turned the alky on and left the boost at 17# and still know problem. What could cause this at the higher boost levels?

Thanks

I just put a new set of wires on the car before the alky kit. I put a new set of r43ts plugs gapped at .032" per Razor.

And as for valve springs wouldn't it do this at any boost level. I don't have the problem around 17# or less.

Try your old plug wires back on.

Make sure your not drowning the motor out , You may need to pull a bit a fuel out if oyur trying to use alot of alcohol
WHos kit is it?

Well there are two things, one is high boost.. the other is high RPM. You can crank the boost up and not have to hit the high RPM. Like put the car in second gear, slam the pedal down and the boost will go to 20 PSI...and then at upper rpm's if it starts to flatten out.. then springs are bad. Also bad springs will show up more on top of third gear than 2nd gear. And even less in first gear.

Sounds like weak coil pack/ign module.

Make sure the O2's are coming down the top of the gears. Somewhere in the upper 700's is a good target.

Send a DS file to look at see what I can make of it.

If all else fails ( which I doubt ) try switching to a non resistor plug.

Imports have found out at high RPM and boost that ditching the resistor allows them to stop breaking up top.

update..

Put on a new coil pack yesterday. Went out for a pass at 20# of boost and the car did fine this time. No breaking up. I'll try more boost after I get my high BLM problem figured out.

Thanks

In my best Mr. Burns voice.. "Excellent Smithers"

Your DS files didnt make it .. try again.

A couple of days late with that "excellent" advice.
