Car Fax??

Anyone have the program to look up a vin#? Im looking into buying my first TR and i need to check out the Vin to verify the owners ,miles and if there are any accidents. Please pm me if you are able to help me out!! Thanks in advance guys!!!

I used it for the first time a few weeks ago to check on my own GN that I have for sale on the board. It cost me $35 I think for one report. Its worth it if you have any doubts. I wanted to print mine for any potential buyers.

The only issue I had with the program is that it stated I lived in a county(parish) that had been labled as a flood disaster area and that my car could have been submerged.

I live 36 feet above sea level. It was around the time of Hurricane Katrina that Carfax posted the issue. Only thing is New Orleans is about 200 miles from my house..... Other than that it is very informative.

Hmm weird about the flood disaster!! But i know some people have the program themselves, like car brokers and private lot owners so they can look up there cars they are purchasing!! If all else fail,I will pay for it to be done!! But i have seen several people get carfax done on here from other members!! I know its very useful info, i had it done with my first car!! I ont buy a car without a carfax!!! thanks for the input 87NAT!!

I used to be a sales consultant for a Saturn Dealership and we lived by the carfax. Its definitely worth paying a one time fee to get a full history report. Particularly if it turns out it had a bad history, it could save you thousands down the road.

Carfax, Autocheck.... They can tell you if a vehicle has been wrecked but can't tell you that it hasn't, best IMO to learn what to look for or take someone with you that does

Im mainly concerned with making sure the miles and owners check out , making sure i wont have problems registering and insuring it!!!! I can check it out when i see it for previous accidents!!
