Hello,

I have an '87 Buick Grand National and I need some help fast. My car is emitting white smoke from the rear when its engine is ignited and during driving. The problem just started recently. I have taken the vehicle to two authorized Buick repair shops; both, state the vehicle is fine and cannot diagnosis a problem. Does this sound like an engine or exhaust problem?
The engine was overhauled this year and a new tubo-charger was installed. The car has an aftermarket fuel pump and exhaust system. The car only has 38K original miles. COuld some please offer some advice on the matter.

Thanks

Watch your coolant level in the radiator and overflow tank. It could just be condensation but with a rebuild, who knows? Make sure the fluid level isn't dropping over time.

Maybe turbo seals?
Check your turbo on both sides for any oil.

white smoke usually means you're burning water/antifreeze. You can keep an eye on it like mentioned before, or remove your radiator cap and look for bubble while someone revs. This will tell you if you have a blown head gasket.
