My car just started to break up while I was driving. Then it fixed for a couple of blocks and now it is back. It seems to get better at higher RPM, but getting up to speed is really bad. What should I check?? I don't have a scan tool but now how to check some things. The car is completely stock except for THDP, K&N, and a chip. I already changed out the chip and it still does the same thing. Sometimes it isn't as bad but it is still there. Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jeremy

Kinda hard to say for sure, as it could be any one of a number of things. First things that come to mind are Spark plug wires, or Plugs, O2 sensor, weak altenator, and weak fuel pump or some other fuel system problem.

Plugs and wires are new, Fuel Pump is a newer XP, and the alternator is putting out the right amount, So I guess that leaves the O2 sensor!!

Wouldn't be my first guess. How about fuel filter? Does fuel psi go up with boost? Might take a close look at all the vac lines too.

Ignition module/coil..always a likely candidiate. Either swap them out with a known good one or get Casper's tester.

All right I changed the O2 sensor and it still does it, the fuel pressure seems OK, comes right up at start up and holds when I turn the car off. I can't build any boost due to it breaking up so I can't say anything about that. Tomorrow I am swapping the ignition coil/module with a known good one. Also what cars can I get these from??Thanks

OK I can do that too. My brother has a GN in the driveway right next to mine so I can just swap parts to see what is wrong with mine

OK just swapped the MAF and the ignition module/coil from my brother's car and it still does it!!! Any ideas?? It kinda acts like when an intercooler hose blows off. I checked the hoses and they are OK and I checked for vacuum leaks and couldn't find any!! What should I do??

I tried to read the codes by jumping the A and B spots on the ALDL and the Service engine light won't flash. What does this mean??
