I replace the tcc solenoid with a new one from ckperformance and it work one time while on the freeway, i drove it home and it was parked for 4 days, then thurs while driving to BG it never shift into overdrive, what could be the problem now? could the new solenoid gone bad? I put over 600miles on my car in the last 3 days neither time it was in overdrive...what do i do:confused:

Well, the TCC solenoid and overdrive are two separate things. If the solenoid is bad, the transmission can still go into overdrive. It just won't lock the converter clutch.

If your trans, in fact, is not going into overdrive gear, you may have something sticking in the valve body like the throttle valve or the 3-4 throttle valve train.

it may be wise to verify fourth gear operation by going 65 mphour and cycling the shifter between o/d and 3 rd quadrants to verify you have 4th gear operation .there should be a noticable rpm change when doing so.

Got the car up to 65 then shift into drive, the car did change rpm(high) did it a few times to verify..now what?

well now we know you have overdrive.now do 65 mph and gently tap brake pedal without letting off the gas.is there an rpm change?

I tap the brake at 65, 75 and 85 nothing happen, no rpm change...whats next
