Car wont downshift....sometimes?

I noticed this today on my way to work, a car slowed in front of me, and when I got back on the gas (25-30mph) it just lugged, like it was still in OD. It did this all the way to work, even pulling in the parking lot, it wouldnt down shift, if you mash it down its ok. Kind of hard to explain, maybe the TC not unlocking? Doesnt happen all the time, but its getting more frequent. Where should I begin to look?

If it's happening primarily after the transmission is warmed up, it's probably the infamous TCC solenoid sticking.

One test would be to temporarily disconnect your TCC connector from the transmission and go for a test drive. If the problem goes away, you know what to do.

Thanks, yeah, it doesnt start till it warms up. Where is the TCC solenoid located?
