We got some respect from the Mustang SVT group that was there. Fastest SVT run belonged to my son's (Britt) 2003 SVT. He ran a 12.3 @ 119 w 2.20 60' (Nittos). His time slip on SVT board along with couple of photos of it (on U-Haul trailer).

Those Mustang guys are pretty cool, nice bunch.

They have pics our Buicks, Jack's, Dick's and mine on that site. Also neat pic of Scott's yellow Toyota with a GN motor is posted.

Thanks for coming out to CA, next time give us a bit more notice and I will get you a hotel with a better location.

By the way, the reason everything was sold out, Del Mar horse racing opened up on Wed, then over the weekend there were 300 high soccer teams in town for some tournament, go figure the weekend you want to race all the good hotels were taken.

Jack, we missed you at the party, hope your ride home was uneventful.

Actually it was Britt that was dead set on leaving. He had his two young sons with him and didn't like the looks of that bunch of rowdy gang bangers with the rooms just above him. When we got home from the track Saturday they were hauling one of them out into an ambulance with a puncture wound to the abdomen. That was a good plenty. At that point we checked out and hauled butt. Got as far as Temecula and exploded a tire on his trailer. That held us up for couple of hours. Got to Palm Springs Saturday night and on home Sunday morning.


Thanks for your hospitality, guys. It was sure nice spending a day at the track with you and sorry we missed the get together on Saturday night. Hope to see you in Vegas.

I just wanted to say thanks to the California gang for making us feel welcome. We all had a great time in spite of the track conditions, 60ft times weren't the best. I hope to see you all in Vegas this year. We will have to host a get together in Phoenix some time this winter so you can check out our track.
