Caspers VSS VDO sender feed through?

Ok i am doing some research here before i start buying parts. I am doing a 87 3.8 swap into my 88 firebird. I am building the engine atm and i have the 200r4. what im trying to figure out is how to run a set of autometer ultralite gauges and still have the ECM pick up the signal from the trans. My trans has a cable operated speedo. I was looking on caspers electronics and they sell VSS convertors and signal kits. my question is if i buy the VSS signal Feed through kit would it allow me to run my speedo cable to it and then another to the autometer in the dash and function properly?

Depending on the speedo you're gonna use (mechanical or electronic)....you'll need to buy Caspers feed thru 102049 for a mech. speedo, OR feed thru 102045 for an electronic speedo. And you need his VSS converter 102046.

If using a mechanical speedo, you need another speedo cable to connect the speedo to the feed thru. I got a speedo cable from some guy on ebay that makes them in several different lengths. Then the stock speedo cable from the tranny side goes to the other side of the feed thru.

I have this same exact setup with my mechanical Autometer speedo, and it works perfect.
