catalytic converter exhaust hanger

turbojimmy-----ill try to call atr and gm dealer see if i could compare good price. i thought gm stop making those hanger, and i did not know atr sells them-- thank you turbojimmy

It turns out that the spare hanger I have is a GM one, not ATR. The GM part number I have (25525381) does not come up on gmpartsdirect anymore. You can shoot them an e-mail and they'll research it, though. It does not say it's not available, just that it's a bad number.

The hanger currently on my car is from ATR. It's a "kit", part number HP116-HAN ($10) It's a rubber strap that replaces the stock one (it's the rubber part that's broken, right?) - you use the stock metal part that bolts to the cat. Works decent.

HTH,
Jim

Go to Autozone and get the perfect rubber strap to replace the GM hanger strap. Drill out the rivet holding the old one and bolt this one in. Worked great for me and much less than $10

I just bought one from gmpartsdirect for about 24 bucks less than 6 weeks ago. 25525381part #. It does not show up now. Wonder about that?

DPKO69----TURBOJIMMY IS RIGHT ,CAUSE I CALL BUICK DEALER THE PRICE IS $27.50,AND STILL THEY HAVE IT:eek: ---TURBOCULOSIS----

I had a new ss DP installed.

The TR shop that installed the Dp told me hangers are missing, and informed me that the welds on the DP by the flange on the turbo side can break from holding up most of the exhuast weight.
