Has anyone had a bad experiance with Century Transmissions torque converters? I didn't even have it in the car for 50miles and it went out from the way I described it to Mike...I didn't even floor it except when he told me to, to diagnose the stall issue. First off the stall wasnt even correct...I ordered a 3200 and it couldnt even make it to 2300 before spinning the tires, and this is with the E-brake all the way up and vaccum out of the brake lines....and NO BOOST! Then when going 45 and the car is in lockup if i slowly roll into the throttle right before the downshift out of lock-up it makes a vibration that feels and sounds like I'm driving over a cattle guard. So now being the poor college kid I am(key the sob story music:) ) I have to pay to have it lifted up again and storage for however long this takes and possiblely shipping which I hope to sort out with Mike. How does PTS's coverters compare? I'm not bashing Century or Mike by any means, him and his wife seem like very knowledgable caring business folks and the first time around with my rebuild 5years ago he did a great job, but I used a precision T/C that time.

mike probably gets his converters from a reputable supplier as he is a well known builder.occassionally items from outsources generate complaints and failures.i am going thru this now with my heat treater.i also went thru this with a converter company in arizona that was getting over 50 to 60 grand a year worth of business from us.he even went so far as to tell all of us here to "lick his balls".after loosing my business he probably wishes he had "kissed my ass":D

Lol! I guess hes so rich your 60k didnt mean anything to him. Must be nice when you can tell a customer who spends big $ to lick his balls. Half of that was $ in his pocket. What a fool.

Hey CK by any chance did the name of that shop start with a T and three letters? In havasu, Arizona?
