Almost all gun safes use drywall for fire protection. The fire rating you need depends on where you are going to place the safe and how far you live from a fire station. In a basement and if you live in a city with a full-time fire department you don't need the highest fire rating. If it's going on the main floor and live in the country with a volunteer fire department you will probably want a better fire rating. A guy I know sold Champion safes for year told me he never had a old fashion combination lock go bad. He did have some push buttons malfunction and it requires a battery. My advice is get the biggest you can fit in your house. You will always want more room.
