Did a search and don't see many guys running Champion spark plugs. Anyone ever use the RV17YC? It crosses to Autolite 26, NGK UR4 and 45. Too hot? Too cold? I usually run the CR43TS's or whatever they are, but I bought a bunch of plugs and have about 30 of these Champions that supposedly fit the GN. Safe for no more than 15 PSI?

14mm Thread, 11.6mm (.460") Reach, 5/8" (16mm) Hex Size, Tapered Seat, Resistor, Copper Core, Projected Tip, Heat Range 17

Yeah, that is where i found the cross reference info. I am just curious if they are safe for average boost and driving. I know most people change out plugs and "upgrade" but never really dug into whether it was imperative or not. Thanks for the info!

the only two products that run good on Champion plugs are lawn-movers and Chrysler .

And Fords. I run Champions in my 70 Torino 302, and my dad runs them in his 70 429. I got a ton of plugs for dirt cheap so I was seeing if I could use them for "daily use" in the GN. Nothing too aggressive...

I think for normal N/A engine champions might work but I'v lost marine blown big block in my boat because of champion plug I also work for GM and if I get a car with minor driveabilty issue and I don't see anything wrong right away but I see champion plugs in it .....guess what is my next step ...........this is just my opinion but I would never use champion plugs in TRs , what works best for me is Autolite , again my experiance

You're probably right. Just trying to be cheap and lazy. Bad combo with these cars... ;)

Since you already have the champion plugs put a set in and give them a try.

See how they perform at normal driving around town and on the highway with low boost levels and then creep up the boost a little at a time to see if they hold up without causing any problems.
