The trick is making it fun for them,+ have them WANT to perform, I had a Rottie that had the same exuberance to perform.
Lots of treats + rewards, Never make it a chore for them or force them to do it when they are not in the mood,don't try to train them if you are not in a really patient mood either,they can sense your frustration,+ are not so eager to perform if they feel somehow they are making you less then pleased with them, it's less fun for them,they really like it if they feel they are pleasing you, and having fun with this training game at the same time. Keep the training sessions short + fun so they don't get bored or see it as tedious,but look forward to it as a game in which they will recieve praise,have fun + get treats.
But even with great training ,each dog is an individual,+ some will take to it more then others,some are just more serious,some lazy,some just not too bright, etc.that shepard in the video has a fun loving personality,very outgoing,willing to learn, + obviously had some good training, What a beauty.
