My SMC single nozzle kit should be arriving this week. I am currently running 19*/17* on and extender chip with an LS1 translator. I realize many folks are running higer timing chips. Would this chip be okay to run with the alky kit and my combo ? I hope to run 22-24psi (and maybe more with the lower timing).

Thanks,
Jeff W

Should be a great chip to run higher boost with.

If you have the T+ crank the timing up a notch at WOT.

If not tune for 0 KR at as high a boost as you can run with full pump speed.

I only have the regular translator, not the T+. It loolks like it will all be through boost unless I get my chip reburned. The only problem I would have with that is this is by far the best street chip I've ever had in the car, and I've tried a bunch(haven't we all) . This particular chip allows me to run 16 psi in street trim with virtually no knock at all with O2s bottoming out around 790-800. I've had knock problems with every other chip I've tried.

Boost isnt everything. Timing makes for great top end:cool:

You can try it with the current chip, but in the near future I would have an alky chip burned with about 23* or so.

Of course you could look into the new spark tanslator. Since you like your current chip so much, a spark translator would let you use that chip, and add as much timing to it as you like.

And the cost is about the same as having two chips burned conventionally.
