Chips for Octane rating-vs-injectors!

Ok not sure if this question has ever been asked, and im not sure if this would work or not but here goes!!

What if i put my 110JL chip in place of my 92JL chip and ran 100 octane with the 110 chip? or just keep the 92 chip in and run the 100 octane? i run nothing but 100 octane in my tank now, but was wondering would this have an effect on performance or no. Or can i get a chip burned for the 100 octane that i run in there now and see a performance gain. I know its all in the timing with these chips, but those are a few scenarios that i was wondering about. Probably cant be done but let me know what the pros out there think. I always here to put a race chip in there and run race fuel for timing purposes and more power gain, i am running 009s now 42.5lb injectors.

110chip with 100 octane? Knock, possibly kill engine for good!
You should get a 100octane chip burned if all you run is 100octane, you could see probably close to 40hp increase just from that(if its done right, and you turn up the boost accordingly). That would really wake the car up! I have a few chips for 009 injectors(I run 009's), if you're interested email me, and maybe we can work something out! (dcc2003@tampabay.rr.com)

Hey Sinful, you mentioned you have a few chips for 009s, are any of them burned for the 100 octane? im assuming that is what i will have to have for the 100 octane correct? a chip that is burned for 100 octane. Who would make a good chip for this fuel? and the 009s

Red Armstrong probably has done more 009 chips than anyone.
He is listed under Quad Air. If you need adjustments or changes, Red will do it for a small fee after purchase. Buying an unknown chip from an unknown source is not a good idea.

Higher octane usually means more timing in chip.
