I'm thinking of buying Mark Hoffmans aluminum coolant res. and washer res. and coolant overflow res. I would like to have these items chromed and then use the main coolant res. for my alcohol kit. I know I read that aluminum would not stand up to the alcohol. Will chrome hold up or break down and contaminate my alcohol system?

Don't do it. Did a little experiment with one and it actually got so hot from the downpipe that the alky evaporated!
