Chrome Fiberglass Bumpers?

Has anyone done this? Is it possible? Can they be bought that way?

Just a thought.. Thanks, Dave

I have never seen fiberglass chrome plated but I soppose it can be done.. Plastic can be chrome plated so why not??

Check out the new Summit Racing catalog. 64 Impala is the featured car. It has chrome plated fiberglass bumpers. I believe it even mentions the name of the company who did it.

I'm doing a set right now. But there going to be painted. Its a new system and actually looks like real chrome. After they are smoothed out they have to be painted black then cut and buffed. Then the chrome is sprayed and then cleared again. The problem with the vacume chrome plating is finding someone in your driving area. Shipping would kill you not to mention the possabiliy of damange in shipping.

XXX isn't vacuum, it's not the mirra-chrome paint, it is the newest system, water and chemical based that sprays on till it drips off, it has actual chrome in it. The mirra-chrome paint is like $200 a pint and only looks like polished aluminum.
