Chrome radiator cover??

Does anyone know where you can buy a chrome plated radiator cover? I've seen em in "Show cars" but don't know if they are readily available, or if people are removing this cover and having them plated.

I call this a radiator cover....it's the large piece of sheet metal that fits on top of the radiator and bolts to the fan shroud.

I was looking for the same thing. Most guys will remove thiers and have them plated but Someone on here directed me to SETURBO.COM I believe they even ahve an advertising banner on here. They have all kinds of chrome stuff. I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago. Still waiting...

Ahhhhhhhh......thank you, thank you, thank you! I didn't want to pull mine off, strip it, and then take a chance that some bone-head might lose it on me.

Mike........I checked out the website, and there they are!!!

So just for giggles and sh**s, I called them to check on availability.....

they are totally out of cores! {and after speaking to Dana, he said that most people don't send their cores back, so they don't have any to plate!}

He did say that they expect some in soon, but asked me to call back Monday and check with Paul to get a firmer date.

so, although they make em.....they aint got em!

Sucks for me, because i wanted one for a few upcoming shows.

Oh well....

I was promised one , like I said about 2 weeks ago. They did say that the plater was backed up. I'll be sending in my core when i recieve my stuff. I sure hope they have one for me.

You can buy this piece new from GM for around $30. Get a new one without any rust or corrosion and have it plated... only problem is the tabs that that ac lines etc bolt to will need to be welded on...

I just purchased a clean core from Mike McCoy and will be having it chromed.

I think has a couple laying around if you're interested.

Yeah, SE turbo has a great site and good service, but I gave them a call about some chromed goodies and they basically need cores for everything.
