Does the CK trans brake require drilling the front drum or modifying the case, or can it just be bolted up?

Thx.

All TH400 transbrakes will need a bleed hole drilled in the direct drum, usually the center seal left off as well, front band removed, and it's a good idea to install a brace on the int pressure plate.

Ive always wondered what the purpose of the bleed hole is. Can someone explain?

The bleed hole helps the directs release faster when used with a transbrake and also helps prevent centrifugal clutch apply.
