Anyone making plans to attend the March 23 "Clash of the Titans" street car races at RCR? Sounds like fun! Check it out at either -- www.texasracingscene.com or www.theclashofthetitans.com

My only question is; are Buicks allowed to compete? According to the texas racing scene web site, the race is open to all street cars; however, the titan web site says specifically -- Chevy vs Ford.

DO ANY OF YOU SAN ANTONIO/AUSTIN turbo Buick guys or girls know whether our Buicks will be allowed to compete???

TR:cool:

I agree. That's why I was hoping someone "in the know" could help clarify it. I definately plan to attend if Buicks are allowed to compete. I participated in a RiverCity Raceway sponsored "Street Car Shootout" this past summer and had a good time.

I too would be interested in this event. I sent a email to the HoustonBuick Club, if or when I get a response I'll post it on this forum :)

re:

Well if things work out as we hope there may even be a major Buick event at RCR soon :)

I think any cars are allowed, basically. For example the "One Bad Bird 2" (Trans Am) from Houston ran last year. Send an email to RCR or Fast Freddy for clarification though.

Thanks Todd, I just got back to this site from "re" reading the titan sight and saw the line explaining which categories were open to chevy vs ford only and which were open to all vehicles.

I read your other post with interest. A Buick event at RCR??? That would be great!

Weather permitting, I am going to try and bring the new GN to the track this Saturday afternoon to get in some runs. I definately plan on participating in the March 23 races. Hope to see a bunch of the Texas Turbo Buicks there also.

Last year,

They wanted TR's to compete and would classify them as Chevy. However, this may have changed.

v6power (Clash of the Titans)

Hey v6power how is it going. On this event they allowed Turbo Regals race. I'm a personal friend of Freddy Cruz (the director of the event) he told me to tell as many Turbo Regals to come and race in this event. I'm still trying to finish my turbo Regal. It has been in the rebuilding process. Sorry to post this late I just haven't had time to scrolled through this web site. Hope to see several turbo Buicks out there.
