Someone once told me you could add a tint to clear coat...I saw a car once that had a white paint job, but with a pinkish tint to it, not like chromillution (no idea how to spell that), more like colored tinted windows...I was told it was added to the clear coat...Does anyone have any info on this?? Does it cost a ton?? I'm looking at a primered T-type and I would like to paint it black, but there's so many I would like to do something to make it stand out, like say a tinted clearcoat?? Blue perhaps?? Maybe it would end up looking kinda like a blued revolver.

That's a pearl additive. I don't personally suggest it. If You're looking for that kind of effect shoot an actual pearl coat (base/pearl/ clear)

It'll look better and be easier to match if needed)
The effect is MOST apparent on white or light colors. Over black, it'll rarely be seen ubless the "light" is just right (street lights, sunlight glinting off the body lines etc...)

So are you saying that it is pretty cool on White cars, and is it Subtle(sp),,not looking for something that stands out and says Wow,,,any pics

No pics (it's actually very hard to photograph). It's very subtle. If you've ever seen "ghost" flames on black (or other dark colors) this is the technique they use (base, pearl, clear)

Oh that's exactly what I want...just enough that if you look at it in the light it'll look "off" kinda, just something to make it different...How much does the stuff cost?? Is it just unrealisticly expensive?? Does the painter have to do any extra work to make it right, which would jack up the labor costs??

The pearl coat is one more color that he will need to spray. It shouldn't jack the price WAY up but it will be more. You'd have to ask the shop them selves,
