I was counting the blinking check engine light and it was for code 42. Anyone know what this is and how to fix it? Thanks.

Code 42 is the C3I module or Bypass circuit failure.

Had nothing to do with the EST module on the fenderwell area.

The test involves checking the circuits 423 white wire Pin A on the module and circuit 424 the bypass pin B on the module tan/blk stripe wire.

They go between the ECM and the C3I module which is under the coil pack.

Thanks for your experience on the subject. I guess that I need to check the 2 pins that you spoke of and then replace module. Basically what is happening is when the car starts to accelerate under boost the check engine light comes on and then it detonates or the other way around.
