this weekend we were able to get some time to install the new coil on plug system.
This is the kit that is sold by hartline performance. The custom brackets position the coils in a great location, so the wires are not near the headers, the plug and play harness makes for an easy install.
Have to say thanks to cal hartline and gary harmon for taking the time to install the system in my car.

Today i drove around the streets for 45 min, perfect idle, no stumbles, good throttle response.....and it looks cool too:d

baller :d

ok thanks for your reply .just thought i could save some money buy going to junk yard and fine them from a known good running moter and get the rest from you thanks again .

Any reason why that set won't work with a stock ecu? Also can I just buy the harness? By the way that's a awsome set up

Sent up for stock ECU and fast WITH OUT useing the XIM is almost done with a 2 step and ANTI theft system that a card is needed to start car the only way is a tow truck

what car do those coils come out of .

Gm Truck coils or I use LS3 coils you can go to any junk yard and get brackets coils and harness cheep on look on ls1tech.com

This system has been made on a Nissan Skyline RB26 5 years ago and On my 87 gn 2 years ago using a XIM till my buddie murray made his own box now he is almost done with one to use the factory ECU OR XFI

Ahhh...One of the guys wanting the harness only. I'm glad you got yours working correctly. I know others have them in the works, too. If you decide to mass produce yours, I would suggest contacting SGrim about becoming a vendor here. Also, please start your own thread. I would hate for someone to take your information and supply their own coils and have dwell/timning issues. My kits are 100% complete and plug and play to avoid problems.

This thread is about the TS's COP system from Hartline Performance.
Let's try and keep this thread on topic.

Hey Cal, do the coils that are in your kit use LSx coil mount hole spacing? I might be interested in the future for a set of brackets and mount bolts! Manufactured always looks better than home made! :P

No problem. I know who made this system first and it was in a LOW 7 sec grand national and his name was not spelled with three letters

Looks awesome, Cal has always been there with giving are small community tech advise and offering great products. Why someone would go somewhere else is beyond me!

Support those that support you! Great product and thanks.

hey cal,

is there any clearance issues with different valve covers and the a/c box.

im getting ready to put this on.

It gets real tight depending on what valve covers you have and if you still have the AC heat shield. I had one customer drill new mounting holes and shift everything over 1/4"

Better do some checking Becuse this guy did!!!!!!!!!!!! made 1620 to the tires with this set up on my sbc with a 106 in my 1987 GRAND NATIONAL

With all do respect, I have seen your car and it is a nice piece, but I believe the discussion is using it on the buick v6 ignition strategy.
