I have one pair that is sticking. I believe they are Comp 883 but not sure.
Thanks

Are you using them with roller rockers? I spoke to a Buick GN expert and he said with stock rockers and the better hold downs they are great but with after market rockers they sound bad.

Found this in a drawer in the garage. You're welcome to it. It's definitely a COMP but not positive on the model #. I'm sure it's good or I wouldn't have saved it.

Look at the clip on the plunger. That will tell what they are. 853's have a C clip. 885's do not.

I have some 885's.

Yes, they have a C clip. I am selling a short block and the guy wants these lifters. Thanks for your help idenitifying these.

I have a set of morel roller lifters that are new and used for dyno time and 200 street miles. $250 plus shipping

When were they purchased? If they are 853 comps, I can get you a pair NEW. If they are the new comp 6853 I cannot get them, they are a copy of the 853. I also can get the 885 lifters. The 853 uses a flat c-clip with ears for removal. The 885 uses a flat c-clip with ears for removal and tangs pushing on the seat. Early 885's have a round c-clip with no ears for removal.

If interested, it takes about a week to build them and ship. Contact me via phone

Thanks for all the responses; I think I have it covered. I have a set of Morel's in another engine I built. Should have that engine in the car in a few weeks.
