Do your self a favor and just put in the 100 oct gas with the 100 oct chip to be safe. Nick is right, those Alky systems are great when they work, but if you get tempted or say the system has a malfunction or leak, what ever, you have just toasted something. Short cuts are not cheap in the long run, with these cars. Put the cut out in with exhaust and your moving.

You can get 1000 different answers! Two cars will get very different results and run differently. A local guy had the exact mods as me and he ran 15-16# on Reds 93 chip with 2-3deg knock ret on the 2-3 shift. I bought the chip and ran 12# w/no knock and 14# would get me 4+deg knock. 5 gal of 112 and 20# netted me a 7.9 1/8 with a 1.75 60ft leaving at 1#. Knock kills more than head gaskets!
