Hey Craig,
I am going to install my speed-pro in the next week or so and was wondering what type of system requirements are needed to operate it and which operating system works best with it and be user friendly.

If you are using the DOS software, just about any laptop with a functioning 9-pin serial port will work, unless you have Windows XP. That will basically make the DOS software impossible to use.

If you are using the Windows software, anything running Windows 95 or higher should work fine. As with any Windows software, more processor power is better. You will probably also find that a larger monitor and higher screen resolution will make things a bit nicer. I would avoid a laptop that doesn't have a 9-pin serial port; many newer machines only have a USB port on them. The USB to serial port adapters still seem a bit tricky.
