Wanted to know everyones thoughts on running a converter cover or not, some say it keeps to much heat in and some say it keeps all the road crap out, which do you think is the best way on a street car?

For a street driven car keep the cover on and install an additional transmission cooler.

I do run external trans cooler , just wondering about the cover.

I have a non lockup convertor and just removed the cover a couple days ago to see if my temps drop. I still hit over 200 on 90 deg days. I have b&m plate type cooler mounted behind grill, it is the largest one they make.

I run two coolers and through radiator and no converter cover. It's hot down here.
