converter lockup mph?

I don't lock the converter since I normally only run the 1/8. But for the nats I'd like to squeeze every bit out. I can set this with the extender chip. For my mild combo what mph should I set it for? Thanks.

I'd set it for whatever (mph) speed you hit about 4800 rpms with in 3rd gear.

78 to 85 in that range.

Tire size might skew that a bit.

I think a lot of variables can come into play such as trire size, heads, cam, etc. When I was at the track Wednesday I played around with when to lock the TC for the most mph. For my stock long block car with 27" tires my best mph was when I locked the converter at the line.

Tires are 275/50 BFG. Slightly shorter than stock due to unusual wear.

Last time out, I locked mine at about 130
Locked it when my shift light (set to 6000) came on in third gear.
