Converter replacement

How hard and how do you change out a torque converter. thanks for any info

remove the transmission from the engine and replace .1 hour on the lift one day on the floor.

WOW, ok another question, possible slippage going on to due mileage and abuse, would replacing the converter help or does the whole tranny have to be rebuilt. thanks again

Replacing a torque converter will definitely not fix a slipping transmission. Sounds like you need to have a shop or someone transmission savvy test drive your car for a diagnosis.

I could take a ride in it and see how it feels

I have seen bad stock converters but most likely if its slipping its time to overhaul the tranny

as far as R+R remove and replacing I can handle all that

Im about to move to gloucester but for now Im still in Newport News

by the way know of any good paint shops. I guess I'll wait on the converter
