i was looking into a non lock converter...is there anything i need to put the N/L in my 200r4? i no it has a stock lock up converter..so what exactly do i need to convert it to the non lock type

The Art Carr design is a little more work than TransGo's kit. It requires a Mod to the Pump>> Torque Converters

TransGo>> TransGo Performance 7-CCV - TransGo Torque Converter Conversion Kits - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Art Carr>> Performance Transmission, Racing Shifter and Torque Converter Car Parts Catalog Part #17008

I see why the shop Art sold is Kaput, their prices, Yikes!! I read somewhere He was pissed with both their prices & quality so He got out & opened a shop on His on again. >> CPT.

I bought the Transgo valve that you recommended SS. Seems very simple to do but my car just got painted so I haven't installed it not my convertor yet. Seems pretty easy and it was only about $25 shipped from Summit Racing's eBay store. And I heard that about Art Carr too.

Years ago, I had a 200-4R from the "non-original" Art Carr shop (Not CPT). It was a total disaster. TQ hub register was wrong and wouldn't fit in crank, trans shifted like a Caddy Fleetwood Brougham and when they sent me the right converter it had so much stall the trans acted like it was low on fluid.

Total POS, had to ship it back. Cost me alot of money for the shipping but I learned a valuable lesson.

I got my 2004r re-done by the man himself. Art Carr of CPT. No problems. The best the car has ever felt and shifted. Call him up. He talks on the phone to his customers and doesn't BS.
