Convertible Regal???

I was just curious if there was ever one made. I thought a long time ago I saw a photo of one. It was some kind of Indy or Daytona Pace Car. Had a roll bar behind the front seats. I don't know if it was a turbo car or not.

81 Pace Car. It had a "targa top" w/ a convertable past the b-pillar where the little windows should be located at. They have a crazy earth tones paint job...go to gnttype.org's links and go to "before black" they talk about the pace cars, the carbed turbos and the 301 turbo TA of 80-81.

THere was never a factory model available to the public, but there were som eprototypes and special use models. But as Letterman once said:"with the right tools any car can become a convertible."
