Non LU valve was Locked in place via a set screw that was inserted in place of an orfice plug. Now that i am going to put the LU valve back in how important is to put the orfice plug back in??? I am concerned of how well it will hold now that the hole has been drilled and tapped..

The plug in the pump body is replaced with a set screw (allen head) on the Carr convertion (if that is what it is). Two things and they are both IMPORTANT 1: the set screw needs to have a .090" hole drilled in the bottom of it and 2: you have to make sure that when the set screw is re installed that you don't bottom it out on the valve. Run it in with loctite on the treads, until it is flush with the pump housing or slightly further in. MAKE SURE the valve has free movement (the set screw isn't in too far). This should have you all set. Any questions, let us know. Mark :D
