Will be getting a convertor for my T and I have basic mods.. ported turbo, kenne bell ram air, ported upper, rjc plate. big pump, volt booster, bigger injectors, terry Houston 3" down pipe 3" exhaust, adj strange shocks and air bags and boxed uppers and lowers. Also have shift kit.. I talked with Kurtz and he said to run a 2800stall.. would a 3500 be way to big? Thanks for the help! ( also have stock heads and cam)

A 2800-3000 will be plenty for the stock cam/turbo combination. Our hot rods make plenty of torque so a 3500+ isn't necessary until you get to bigger turbo/cam/heads. At 2800 stall speed, you'll have another choice to make. Do you go with a 12" or 10" converter or 10" converter with either a 12" lockup clutch or multiple lockup clutches. All of these are available in 2800-3000 stall configuration. If you're gonna lock the converter at WOT, then I'd recommend either the 12" or the 10" with multiple lockup or 12" clutch. If you're not gonna lock the TCC at WOT, go with the 10" single clutch...it'll be more efficient than the 12" if properly designed.

Spend your money on an alky kit instead of a converter.

Stock heads/ cam/ turbo does'nt need a higher stall.

Times for stock converter in my sig. Pump gas with alky. :)
