Did you have to drill and tap that hole? or was it already there with threads?
That's where the "s" hose for the header core hard line hooks up to the pump . I shortened the casting neck about 1/2"-5/8", and the ID was "just about" the right size to run a 1/4" NPT tap thru ( I imagine some water pump castings may variy in size, and there is more then likely enough meat on it to drill and tap to a 3/8" NPT if you wanted) and get a half decent thread out of it . I also installed the 1/4" MIP x 1/4" FIP 45 degree fitting with some JB Weld on the threads for Ins . the only other fittings need are a 1/4" MIP x 3/8" Hose adapter and a 1/2" MIP x 3/8" hose adapter for the manifold and a few fuel Inj hose clamps .![]()
So basicly no more heat cause you bypassed the heater core correct??
