can someone tell me the orientation of trans cooler lines? if the bottom line coming out of the trans, goes to the top fitting of the radiator, or if it goes to the bottom

That is what I understand also. For what it is worth.

Because hot coolant comes out of the engine into the top of the radiator. Once cooled the coolant exits the radiator at the bottom and is picked up by the water pump.
