I read a while back about the "Stock cooling fan with resistor by-passed" and now I can't find it. My question is how do you by-pass the resistor and the reason for doing it. Thanks for any input.

People bypass the resistor to make the fan run at "high" speed all the time for better cooling. You bypass the resistor by jumping it with a piece of wire, run a jumper wire from one end of the reisistor to the other end of the resistor, the fan will now run on "high speed all the time. The resistor is there to drop voltage and make the fan run in the low speed. I have mine jumped to run on high speed all the time also.

Thanks for the reply, can it be removed altogether. Reason being I remember someone saying they removed it. Thanks.

I removed the resistor on mine and put a jumper wire in it's place.

Take all three ring terminals off the resistor, put them into a 6-32 x 3/8" screw and nut, tighten, tape up, and remove the resistor from the car.
