COOLING PROBLEM

Everybody seems to have their own opinion about oil coolers, and its equivalent to the "which oil do I use for car" argument. To each is own for sure. I run the F-bdoy with the ram charger fans. My stock fan couldn't keep up in the heart of the heat. I switched over to the dual fans with the casper's kit and havent looked back.

On another note, I think those of you not running any oil coolers are asking for trouble. I run the largest oil and tranny coolers that jegs sells. The turbo cooks oil. Just my opinion.

X2

Heat is the enemy young jedi, use the cooler luke.

.......and how does it work..

I tried that exact same setup.

I have since taken it out because the oil cooler in the rad blew apart and sent oil into the coolant system and took me many flushes to get rid of the oil sent into the block.

That also took out my heater core I believe due to the excessive flushing of the cooling system.

I have since went back to the stock rad that was in there and found that there isn't any difference between the two rads.

The key is I'm still running the dual fans and that has helped as well as my external trans cooler with 10" fan that has brought my temps down from the high 190*s to the low 200*s down to 180*s.

I now average mid to low 180*s in 90* plus heat with the AC on. High 160*s to low 170*s with AC off.

It seems in my case the dual fans and fan on trans cooler did more for my high temps than the GBP rad.

Hope this helps a little.
