Hey all, I will be getting my car ready for storage this winter and it's my first time putting it away. I was wondering if some people can recommend a car cover, or at least a brand, that fit nicely for them?

Thanks, Dave

I REALLY like the one's I use on my GN's. They fit like a glove and even have mirror pockets. They are made to fit the 86/87 G body form perfectly.

They're from Coast car covers out in Southern CA.
1-800-231-5180

Part number appears to be C9784GK

It's a soft gray material.

Hmm, looks like they don't have a website. How did you find out about them?

hello; Turbodave do you keep your car outside? How long have you had the cover?
I called the number and the woman was very nice. Its called Big Sky covers not in Cal. though.
I'll remember that cover.
thanks

No I don't leave them out. I've had the covers for a little over 15 years now. Although I had to leave them out for several months a few winters back when we were temporarilly staying in Ann Arbor, MI.

They must have changed their name, and moved.

i got mines from California Cover. Its the extreme weave and it comes with a 5 year warranty, i had to send mines in due to some strong winds that came and caused a rip in the cover. Called the vendor and they replaced it no questions asked, they even payed for the shipping back to them. The cover also comes with straps for the front and rear of the car and a security cable. The cover fits like a glove.

California Covers are great. I've had a Noah cover for over 10 years. Had it replaced once no questions asked. They stand behind their product and make a high quality cover for both inside and outside. Mine is an inside car. I do use the cover outside occassionally also.

Alright, thanks guys. I've heard quite a few good things about the Cal covers so I think I'll go that route. Now I just have to decide on which material. It will be for inside storage and occassionally outside, but all of the material sounds so similar and the prices are close too. Why did you choose the NOAH material?

I wanted something breathable and waterproof to an extent. It keeps the car dry if left outside. Only time I use the cover outside is when I take the car to BG or I'm doing work in my garage that I need to push the car outside for a night or 2. They also have some covers that are lighter but they are really 'dustproof' I really like this cover and it's fitted. Fits great.

NOAH works in the snow too, I put the GN under it in the winter.

Don't chop ice off it however it might rip a spot.

I fixed the fence. :p

I have a Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories (213-657-4800) that fits very nice without mirror pockets that I have had and used occasionally since 1988 when I bought the car. It has only been used inside but still looks and works like new today. I have no idea of cost or if they are still in business. I would buy another one today if needed and the price was reasonable.

update

Hey everybody, just an update, I purchased the california car cover in the noah material and it is really nice. Fits like a glove. Looks just like salvageV6's.
